Wayzata West Middle School
The Wayzata West Middle School is located at 149 Barry Avenue North in Wayzata, Minnesota. In 2014, Blackstone Contractors was contracted to complete the 2014 Site Improvements project which included renovating the pedestrian site and southeast parking lot lighting, regrading and paving a portion of the southeast parking lot, constructing new retaining walls, adding sustainable improvements for stormwater cleansing and groundwater recharge by installing a new stormwater infiltration basin, improving user circulation with an enlarged set of stairs and railing connecting the east and southeast parking lots (upper left), and providing a much needed improved load dock for the school’s deliveries (upper right).
Blackstone Contractors was able to complete this project under a tight timeline and a compressed construction schedule without disruption prior to the return of students in the Fall.
